Basic Life Support (BLS)/Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Classes

The Florissant Valley Fire Protection District offers classes in BLS for Healthcare Providers and CPR for residents and businesses of the district. Non-residents may accompany residents to classes, but we do not offer classes to businesses outside of our district.

We offer a BLS for Healthcare Providers class, geared toward healthcare professionals. For those who are not healthcare professionals, there are two different CPR classes offered, Family & Friends CPR, which offers no certification, and Heartsaver CPR, which offers a two-year certification card. There is an associated charge with all these classes. The BLS for Healthcare Providers class is $40.00 per participant and any student manuals purchased for participants will be an additional $12.00. The Heartsaver CPR course is $30.00 per participant and any student manuals for participants will be an additional $12.00 as well. Please add an additional $3.00 per participant for processing of cards for these classes. There is not a charge for Family & Friends CPR, but once again, there is no certification for this class.

We respectfully request groups of at least five, and not more than twenty, people for these classes. Currently, we do not have pre-scheduled CPR classes.
