Firehouse 21925 Pohlman Rd. Firehouse 2 is located in Florissant on the corner of Pohlman Rd. and Derhake Rd. The firehouse was built with the bond proceeds and the firefighters moved into the firehouse on August 4, 2009.
Responding from House 2 are firetruck 4024 and ambulance 4027.
4024 was put in service on August 2, 2004 and was purchased from the bond issue passed in 2002. 4024 is a Pierce Dash Rescue pumper. 4024 replaces 4020, which will now be used for the spare truck. In October 2004, Florissantís new ambulance 4027 was placed into service.This replaced the Osage E450 ambulance 4017, which logged over 90,000 miles.The new ambulance has a LifeLine body built on an International truck chassis.This new style is projected to have a longer service life and decreased maintenance requirements.The ambulance was purchased from bond proceeds.The old 4027 will be retained by the district as a spare. |
