Mark Flauter is the Chief Medical Officer for the Florissant Valley Fire District. Mark has been employed by the Florissant Valley Fire District since February 2000. He served as a Firefighter/Paramedic for the district until his promotion to Chief Medical Officer in May 2006. As the Chief Medical Officer, Mark is responsible for the overall administration and management of the Emergency Medical Services, and reports directly to the Fire Chief. Mark holds an Associate in Applied Sciences Degree in Paramedic Technology from the St. Louis Community College. Mark is a Pre Hospital Trauma Life Support Instructor, an American Heart Association Instructor, and a Missouri EMS Instructor. Mark is also a member of the National Association of Emergency Medical Services Educators, Missouri Emergency Medical Services Association, the Greater St. Louis Region Fire-EMS Officers Association, the National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians, and the International Association of Fire Chiefs.
